The Forest Lake Squadron meets Wednesday evenings during school term at 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Southern Skies Aviation, Cnr. Grenier Drive and Hudson Place, Archerfield Airport.

We have grown steadily over the past two years and now have over 20 cadets with a mix of boys and girls ranging in age from 8 - 16 years old. Everyone is encouraged to visit our squadron and participate in a parade night where they will get a taste of ceremonial drill and education and once a month we play ball games or have paper plane competitions.

Our squadron is proud to be the first squadron and currently only squadron in Queensland to have a Drum Corps. This gives those cadets with an interest in music the opportunity to develop their drumming skills.

We currently also have two cadets that are Student Pilots and one working on their Australian Air League Diploma of Aviation.

Throughout the year Cadets also have the opportunity to participate in many different activities and field trips.

In 2018 the Cadets visited Air Services in Brisbane and had the chance to go up into Brisbane Tower and watch aircraft landing, go behind the scenes and learn more about Air Traffic Control work in Australia.

In addition to organised visits the cadets also participate in camps, leadership training, education, ceremonial drill and ball games.
