Group Review 2019

Each year all Queensland Squadrons come together for the Group Review. Over the weekend, cadets compete in various competitions as both a squadron and individuals.

Competitions include education, drill, model modelling, chuck gliders and athletics.

This is always a wonderful opportunity for cadets to see there friends from other squadrons and build stronger relationships with their squadron mates.

Anzac Day 2019

Every year the Forest Lake Squadron participates in the Anzac Day Parade at Forest Lake.

Women in Aviation - Evening in the Hangar - International Womens Week 2019

Each year Forest Lake Squadron hosts a special evening during International Womens Week. Our Evening in the Hangar with guest speakers is aimed at encouraging to become involved in aviation. Over the past few years we have been fortunate to have many inspirational women from the aviation industry join us and speak about their experiences. The next Women in Aviation - Evening in the Hangar is scheduled for Wednesday 11th March, 2020. We hope you can join us.

Powered Flight Experience 2019

Air Activities are encouraged throughout the Air League and flying, both powered and gliding, is an important part of the training syllabus. In 2019 Forest Lake Squadron participated in a Powered Flight Activity. Upon the successful completion of the activity which included aviation theory, practical knowledge and a flight in a light aircraft earned a Air Activities Badge that they can wear with pride on their uniform.
